Description
Bisacodyl tablets are used for short-term relief of occasional constipation
- Do not use in children under the age of 12 years
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice before taking Bisacodyl Tablets
- You must talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 5 days
DO NOT USE
- if you are allergic (hypertensive) to bisacodyl or any of the other ingredients of Bisacodyl Tablets (see section 6 of this leaflet)
- if you have in the past been told not to use laxative
- if you have severe dehydration
- if you have a bowel condition called ileus (blockage of the small or large intestine)
- if you have a serious abdominal condition such as appendicitis (swelling of the appendix)
- if you have severe abdominal pain (aches and pains in the stomach area) with nausea and vomiting
- if you have a blocked bowel intestinal obstruction
- if you have inflammation of the bowel (swelling of the small or large intestine)
