Description
Otrivine Child Nasal Drops contain the active ingredient xylometazoline hydrochloride which helps to open up and clear the nasal passages by reducing the excessive nasal secretions and returning the swollen blood vessels to their normal size
- Not recommended for use in children below 6 years of age
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor before using Otrivine
- You must contact a doctor if the symptoms worsen or do not improve after 5 days
DO NOT USE
- if your child is allergic to xylometazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients in the drops (see Section 6)
- if your child has an inflamed nasal passage
- if your child has an inflamed nasal passage
- if your child has an inflamed nasal passage
- if your child has heart or circulatory disease or hypertension
- if your child has diabetes
- if your child has hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland)
- if your child has closed angle glaucoma
- if your child has an enlarged prostate gland
- if your child has phaeochromocytoma (a tumour of the nerves associated with the hormone glands)

- if your child is taking betablockers
- if your child has chronic nasal inflammation with very dry nasal passages (rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis)
