Description
Ibuprofen is one of a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs, which work by changing the body's response to pain, swelling and high temperature
- Do not give this medicine to children below the age of 12 years
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
- You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 10 days
DO NOT USE
- if you have had an allergic reaction to aspirin, Ibuprofen, any other NSAIDs or any of the ingredients (see section 6 for further information)
- if you have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding
- if you have had a worsening of asthma, skin rash, itchy runny nose or facial swelling when previously taking ibuprofen, aspirin or similar medicines
- if you have had gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation when previously taking NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs)
- if you are taking more than 75 mg Aspirin a day, if you are on low dose aspirin (up to 75 mg daily) speak to your doctor or pharmacist before you take this medicine
- if you have severe liver or kidney problems
- if you have heart problems, high blood pressure or blood coagulation disorder
- if you have breathing difficulties
