Description
Fluconazole is used in adults to treat infections caused by fungi
- Not recommended in children aged under 16 years of age
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding or are planning to to have a baby ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
- You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days
DO NOT USE
- if you are allergic to fluconazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6) or to other medicines you have taken to treat fungal infections
- if you are taking astemizole, terfenadine (antihistamine medicines for allergies)
- if you are taking cisapride (used for stomach upsets)
- if you are taking pimozide (used for treating mental illness)
- if you are taking quinidine (used for treating heart arrhythmia)
- if you are taking erythromycin (an antibiotic for treating infections)
- if you are taking amiodarone (used for treating heart problems)
